You are allowed to use Microspikes and I did use them myself a few times when the conditions were right for it. However, the snowshoe trails don’t get as heavily used as the ones near Vancouver so they aren’t as packed down and spikes aren’t as useful as often as they are in Vancouver. I used spikes mostly in late winter/early spring when rain freezing on top of snow created a crust. In general, bring your snowshoes up the mountain with you just in case.
