Yes, the trail is closed this winter since there is an active bear den along the trail. It should reopen in a month or two after the bear moves out.

Hi Nicole, The upper section of this trail is hiking only, but you can expect to see mountain bikes and trials bikes (small dirt bikes) on the lower sections, especially on S&M Connector and the power line trail.
