I’m not a surfer so don’t have any firsthand experience but I hear that Eaglehawk Neck on the way to Port Arthur has good surf.

Hi Drew, I love Tassie. It’s definitely a quieter and slower pace of life compared to Sydney or my home in Vancouver. But the access to nature is incredible and the people are so friendly. When I’m in Tassie, I’ve been at my friend’s up north near Devonport, so I’ve only done a few weekend trips to Hobart. While it is the biggest city in Tassie, it doesn’t feel that big of a city.

Glad you enjoyed the posts Ada. For a small place, there is sooo much to do in Tassie. I won’t be making my annual January visit in 2021 but hope to be able to travel there again in 2022 if the pandemic is over by then.

Didn’t realise the there was so much to see out towards Port Arthur. Very interesting post well done!
As for your weekend in Hobart…. you managed to unearth another couple of gems for me to explore, like Franco’s. I’ve sat in that park loads of times and eaten my lunch. Didn’t know about the Friday night scene. I’ll be ack that way in February for my umpteenth trip so will follow your leads. Next time your our way, head 15 minutes south of city to Kingston Beach area. Nice coastal track to explore. Thanks again and happy walking. Ada🥰

I know! I also thought there wouldn’t be much to do since it’s a small city, but I loved it!

It’s just so beautiful, and there’s so much to do there. One of my friends said that I wouldn’t have a lot of fun here, but he was wrong.
